Our Story
Our journey began in 2017 with a simple problem: there had to be a better way to hold a fishing line spool while spooling a reel. That frustration led us to create an affordable, portable line spooling station — and Sportsman Innovations LLC was born.
With over 30 years of combined experience in design and machining, we spent the next year and a half developing and perfecting the Fish On Spooler. Every detail was refined through real-world testing until we got it right.
Today, every Fish On Spooler is machined, assembled, tested, and shipped from our machine shop in Northwest Arkansas. When you order from us, you're getting a product built by the people who designed it — and we stand behind every one.
Beyond the Spooler
In addition to our patented line spoolers, we offer a full range of machining services out of our Northwest Arkansas shop:
- CAD Design — 3D modeling, drawings, and assemblies
- CNC Machining — 3-axis vertical machining (CNC turning coming soon)
- Manual Machining — Vertical milling and turning up to 22" dia. x 10' long
- FDM Plastic Printing — Build volume up to 13" x 12" x 12"
- Prototyping — From CAD design to a working prototype
